Barbara is a fine artist, illustrator, designer, children’s books author, early childhood educator and creative director.
Equally talented in most methods of painting and drawing from oil to charcoal, she currently creates her artwork in a studio near Los Angeles, California.
She continually works to expand her scope of artistic skill and accomplishment.
Born and raised in a tiny village in the North of Italy, Barbara had a strong attention to the arts since childhood, drawing on anything and with anything which would come to her hand.
She has always loved coloring books and children’s books but not just for the pleasure of reading them or coloring them in, it was thanks to those books that she taught herself to draw.
As early as age seven she was able to depict her subjects with accuracy which stunned not only her teachers but also her fellow students and parents.
As time passed she moved into multiple mediums. At age eleven her watercolor representation of the town’s church was chosen out of all the other children’s drawings to be published on the cover of the church magazine (of which her mother purchased dozens of copies).
In high school she was the artist for the student’s magazine, for which she created the cover and funny comic strips.
